FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS, OF COURSE!!!
First I will list a couple scammers and
then I will explain some different types of scams so you can avoid
them in the future.
Scam Stories
ian4 (and a little cautionary tale)
ian4 scammed me of my black Bow and
Arrows (the rare ones) a while back. As many of you peeps out there
know, I joined AJ sometime in late 2011. I always wanted a Bow and Arrow. One day, at the April
Fools Party in 2012, a kind Jammer (forgot the name, but it had a lot
of numbers, lemme tell you) traded me a blue one for my yellow
Phantom Statue (y'know, from the Spooky Party thingie?) Since then, I
had a green and a purple bow. Then I traded my green and kept my
purple. I then traded it for a black one (back then, black bows were
quite common). Happy days went by, until a scammer showed up in my
den. “Hi'” he/she said. “Do you want two bows for your black
one?” Of course, being gullible, I said yes. “Okay, just trade me
your black one for my green armchair and I will send you a purple and
a black bow back! :)” I asked if they promised. “-does pinky
swear-” ian4 said. I sent the trade. They accepted within, like, 2
seconds, obviously scared I would change my mind and cancel out of
worry. I didn't of course. I had no time anyways. ian4 deleted me
and, well – LEFT. I never saw them again.
